Features copy editor since July 2001, during which time I have contributed numerous music stories, reviews and interviews to the features sections. I also have contributed technology stories. News copy editor March 1998 through June 2001.

The Arizona Republic, 1982-1998

Assistant Business Editor/daily, August 1995-March 1997, responsible for direct supervision of a team of five reporters, as well as for content and production of the Tuesday through Saturday Business sections. Wrote music stories and reviews for The Rep magazine. Worked as a copy editor/slot/news editor on the news, features and sports desks, as well as a national/international editor on the wire desk. While in features worked as section editor for Food and AzHome.

The (Lowell, Mass.) Sun, 1979-1982

City Editor, responsible for all aspects of daily production. Direct assignment and supervisory responsibility for city staff and county bureau; direction also given to Statehouse and Washington bureaus. Responsible for editing, layout and makeup.

The Lawrence (Mass.) Eagle-Tribune, 1972-1979

Reporting assignments included the Statehouse, City Hall, political writer, police and courts, business, environment and transportation. Also wrote columns and entertainment reviews; served as Sunday Editor and as a copy editor. Took part in investigative projects including arson for hire, and police and politics.

The South Middlesex (Framingham, Mass.) Daily News, 1971-1972

Reporting assignments included city government, general assignment, local and state elections, and politics.

The Hartford Courant, 1968, 1969

Two cooperative-education assignments, first as a city desk reporter, then as a copy editor/reporter on the state desk. Also wrote concert and record reviews.

The Boston Globe, 1966-1971

Held various positions on full- and part-time basis in Sports and News departments. Contributed record and concert reviews to the Arts section.

The Northeastern University News, 1966-1971

Joined this student newspaper during my freshman year and continued through senior year, when I served as managing editor.
